Higher Information Group Upgrades Equipment and Expands Services With the Help of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC

HARRISBURG, PA (December 2, 2013) – The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Regional Economic Development Corporation (Chamber/CREDC) announced today that it provided financing through the Small Business First (SBF) loan program to Higher Information Group, LLC located in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, PA.  The loan for $200,000 was part of a $408,451 total financing package which included financing from equity sources for the purposes of upgrading their computer and shredding equipment.  The expansion project will also retain 55 full-time jobs.

Higher Information Group was founded in 1969 primarily as a wholesaler of business equipment. In 2001, it was purchased by the current owner, John G Frisch V, who led the company to enjoy a substantial growth rate and an increased diversity of service offerings.  They now manage information for their clients in six different areas including, business equipment, information technology, shredding services, document storage, web design and development, and corporate reprographics.

The SBF loan program is designed to stimulate the expansion and assist in the retention of small business for the purpose of creating new jobs and retaining existing jobs in Pennsylvania.  This important program is administered by the Commonwealth’s Department of Community and Economic Development and is funded with the ongoing support of the Administration and the General Assembly.
